"Clare was very welcoming, we arrived a bit wet after a long walk in the rain so our room on the top floor with a bath was just what we needed. Beautiful decor, lovely room with everything we could need. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend and love to return."

“Really friendly place. Our room was lovely and the beds were comfy. We stayed one night and had breakfast in the morning which was lovely and I was able to get gluten free toast with it. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area, the owner was very welcoming.”

“This was my second stay at the B&B. Lovely room in the attic and a great breakfast. The rooms are so well looked after with lots of nice touches. The breakfast room is a beautiful place to eat. Clare is a super host. Wished we could have stayed longer. All in all excellent value, topped off with a lovely meal across the road at the Teesdale Hotel.”

“Beautiful location. The room was very comfortable and really lovely - I loved the patchwork quilt! A range of drinks was available in the room which was much appreciated. The breakfast was gorgeous. I would say that the bacon in the full English was the nicest bacon that I have had in years. All in all I would highly recommend this B&B.”

“We had a really pleasant stay at the Belvedere House B&B, up in one of the attic rooms, which has been recently refurbished. We stayed before walking a section of the Pennine Way, for which the location is perfect! The room was cosy and the beds very comfortable. Our host Clare was very friendly and chatty, with plenty of local knowledge. Would recommend!”

"Clare was so very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She knows her to provide excellent service. Every detail and the facilities provided had been carefully thought about. She gave great advice on things to do and see. The cooked breakfast was a delight, a filling delight, and certainly set you up for the day! We will certainly be booking again when in the area."

"Location was fantastic. Next to a pub and 2 doors from a lovely fish and chip shop. It was very nicely decorated and my room was delightful. It even had a bath. The owner (Clare) was friendly and helpful. And the breakfast…has to be one of the nicest I have had! Delicious!"
